UAE markets 14 Aug 2007

UAE market news & discussions for 14 August 2007 A subdued days trading on both UAE markets today with the DFM index rising and the ADSM index falling slightly on moderate volumes. AIRARABIA continues to top trading on the DFM. On the ADSM, ARKAN topped trading rising 0.58% to 1.73 dirhams on turnover of 52 million shares.

Dubai Financial Market

The DFM index finished at 4,299 a rise of 0.06% from the previous close. 235 million shares traded worth 793 million dirhams. Six shares advanced and nine declined.
AIRARABIA topped trading remaining steady at 1.29 dirhams with 85 million shares traded by the close.

Shares to increase included: ARABTEC 6.01 (1.52%), DFM 3.04 (1.33%) and Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) 4.14 (0.48%).

Shares to decrease included: GULFNAV 1.33 (0.74%), Dubai Investments PJSC (DIC) 4.64 (0.21%) and Amlak Finance Company (AMLAK) 3.35 (0.59%).

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The ADSM index finished at 3,492 a slight fall of 0.37% from the previous close. 138 million shares traded worth 337 million dirhams. Nine shaes advanced and 26 declined.
ARKAN was the top traded share finishing 0.58% up at 1.73 dirhams on turnover of 52 million shares.

Other shares to finish higher included: Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) 2.99 (1.36%) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) 6.49 (0.15%).

Shares to fall included: Dana Gas PJSC (DANA) 1.71 (0.58%), Oasis International Leasing Company PJSC (OILC) 1.67 (1.76%), Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 4.52 (0.44%) and Aldar Properties PJSC (ALDAR) 6.91 (0.72%).
