UAE market news & discussions for 31 May 2010

UAE stocks fell again today, although on low trading levels, especially in Dubai with not even Emaar cracking the AED 100m level. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1430 UAE time, DP World is down 1.7%, and Damas is down 0.59%.

    Dubai stocks fell 1.4% to 1580 points from turnover worth AED 128m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, down 1.8% to 3.35 from just AED 46m worth. Gulf Finance House (GFH) was the worst of the more active losers, down 5.6% to 0.51, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) was 5% limit down to 2.28, Union Properties (UPP) fell 4.8%, National General Cooling (TABREED) 3.95%, and most other stocks were down less than 3% or on low volumes. There were 4 gainers with Dar Takaful Insurance (DARTAKAFUL) 15% limit up from thin trading, and Air Arabia (AIRARABIA) the only gainer trading more than AED 1m, up 0.59% to 0.86.

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell 1.2% to 2604 points from trading worth AED 89m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, down 3.6% to 3.19 from just AED 25m worth of deals. International Fish Farming (ASMAK), Sharjah Insurance (SICO), and Emirates Driving Company (DRIVE) all closed 10% limit down from just one trade each, Aabar Energy (AABAR) was the worst loser trading more than AED 1m, down 4.2% to 1.80, Gulf Medical Projects (GMPC) fell 4.0%, and most other traded stocks fell between 1% and 4%, or on low volumes. There were only 3 gainers, National Marine Dredging (NMDC), Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics (RAKCEC), and Ras Al Khaimah Poultry (RAPCO), but total value traded for the 3 of them was less than AED 100k worth.

    UAE markets 30 May 2010

    UAE market news & discussions for 30 May 2010

    UAE stocks started the week with a slight fall, but on the Nasdaq Dubai at 1515 UAE time, DP World is up 4.7% to 0.47, and Damas is unchanged.

    Dubai stocks dropped by 0.25% to 1601 points from trading worth AED 231m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the only stock trading more than AED 100m, unchanged at 3.41%. Gulf Finance House (GFH) was the worst of the more active losers, down 4.3% to 0.54, National General Cooling (TABREED) fell 4.0%, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) 3.6%, and the remaining stocks were down less than 3% or on low volumes. Dubai Investment Company (DIC) was the best of the more active gainers, up 2.0% to 0.82, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and Air Arabia (AIRARABIA) rose 1.2%, and the other gainers were up less than 1% or on thin trading. Emirates NBD (ENBD) fell 1.8% to 2.75 on low volumes.

    Abu Dhabi stocks were down slightly, by 0.17% to 2637 points from trading worth AED 109m, but Aldar Properties (ALDAR), the most active stock and also the best of the more active gainers, was up 2.5% to 3.25 from AED 42m worth of turnover. There were only two losers trading more than AED 1m, First Gulf Bank (FGB) down 4.2% to 15.70, and Gulf Medical Projects (GMPC) falling just 0.40%. Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) rose 2.4%, and the other gainers were up less than 2% or on low volumes. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) rose 0.48% to 10.55, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 2.8% to 10.30 but from thin trading.

    UAE market news & discussions for 27 May 2010

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell slightly, while Dubai stocks were up with the help of Emaar and a few small trades in Emirates NBD. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1545 UAE time, DP World is up 0.91%, and DEPA is up 4.05%.

    Dubai stocks rose 0.90% to 1605 points from turnover of AED 186m with over half of that from trading in Emaar Properties (EMAAR), up 1.8% to 3.41 from AED 103m worth. Deyaar Development (DEYAAR) was the best of the more active gainers, up 2.4% to 0.35, National General Cooling (TABREED) rose 2.2%, and the other stocks were up less than 2% or on thin trading. There were 8 losers with only 3 trading more than AED 1m worth - Gulf Finance House (GFH) down 3.6% to 0.56, and Dubai Investment Company (DIC) and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), both down less than 1%. Emirates NBD (ENBD) was the top gainer, up 3.3% to 2.80 but from low volumes.

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell 0.21% to 2641 points from turnover of AED 112m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most actively traded stock, unchanged at 3.24 from AED 35m worth. Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) was the worst of the more active losers, down 2.3% to 0.43, First Gulf Bank (FGB) fell 2.1%, and the other losers were down less than 2% or on low volumes. There were 10 gainers but only 2 trading more than AED 1m worth - Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) up 2.4% to 1.69, and Agthia Group (AGTHIA) up 2.1% to 1.94. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) was unchanged at 10.55, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 0.93% to 10.50.
