UAE markets 09 Aug 2007

UAE market news & discussions for 09 August 2007

DFM rose slightly with no significant movements or volumes with Air Arabia shares leveling off after a good week. ADSM also rose slightly with heavy trading in Oasis Leasing after yesterday's board meeting disclosed nothing in their statement to ADSM. Bank of Sharjah shares also shone after ShareWadi's lucky pick yesterday.

The new Borse Dubai kicks off in style by making news headlines around the world as it apparently starts buying shares in OMX. Except the deputy chairman says they know nothing about it. Standard & Chartered and National Bank of Dubai both had something to say about the UAE currency rates.

2007 Q2 results released for United Kaipara Dairy Company (UNIKAI), National Cement Company (NCC), Abu Dhabi National Foodstuff (FOODCO), National Real Estate Company (NRE), International Financial Advisers (IFA), Gulf General Investment Company (GGICO), and Gulfa Mineral Water (GULFA).
