UAE markets 13 Aug 2007

UAE market news & discussions for 13 August 2007

DFM was up slightly on very low trading volumes, ADSM dropped marginally on larger trading volumes. Amlak Finance, Gulf Navigation and Dana Gas were the stocks that rocked today, all with rises of about 3% and meaty trading volumes for Dana Gas.

Borse Dubai continues to be the talk of the financial world with its OMX bid and officials from both companies meeting in Stockholm today. The DP World IPO news yesterday sounds like it wasn't news after all.

Emaar released consolidated financial statements today for 2007 Q2, updating previous results announcement. Other 2007 Q2 results released or updated for Arab Emirates Investment Bank (AEIBANK), Agility (WARE), Al Sagr National Insurance Company (ASNIC), Global Investment House (GLOBAL), Dubai Development Company (DDC), and Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH).
