UAE market news & discussions for 22 November 2009The ADX fell 2.0% to 2865 points from turnover of AED 151m with most stocks down between 2% and 4%, and no gainers of any note. The DFM fell 2.6% to 2073 points on relatively low turnover of AED 281m with Emaar down 4.4%, and Dubai Islamic Bank leading the way down with a fall of 5.3%. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1530 UAE time, DP World is down 7.4%, Damas is down 3.85%, and Depa is unchanged from just one trade. Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) was the worst of the more active losers, falling 5.3% to 2.67, Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was down 5.1%, Dar Takaful Insurance (DARTAKAFUL) fell 4.8%, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) was 5% limit down at 3.20, SALAMA fell 4.7%, and most other stocks were down between 2% and 4%. There were only two gainers, Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) and Al Salam Bank (SALAM_BAH), both up about 3% but neither trading more than AED 1m worth. Emirates NBD (ENBD) was unchanged which saved the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) index from a worse fall. Abu Dhabi Securities ExchangeAldar Properties (ALDAR) was the most active stock in Abu Dhabi but still only saw AED 34m worth of deals as it fell 4.3% to 5.29. National Marine Dredging (NMDC) was the worst loser, closing 10% limit down but from just one trade. Methaq Islamic Insurance (METHAQ) was the worst loser on turnover of more than AED 1m, falling 6.55% to 4.14. Dana Gas (DANA) was down 4.55%, Aabar Energy (AABAR) 4.5%, Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 4.4%, Arkan Building Materials (ARKAN) 4.0%, and most other stocks fell less than 4%. Commercial Bank International (CBI) was the top gainer, 10% limit up at 1.60, but from just one small trade, there were another 6 gainers, none on significant trading levels except for Finance House (FH), up 0.57% from just over AED 1m worth of deals.
