UAE market news & discussions for 10 November 2009The ADX rose 0.66% to 2968 points from turnover of AED 268m. The DFM rose 0.74% to 2170 points from turnover of AED 835m. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1400 UAE time, DP World is up 3.2%, Depa is up 4.9%, DGS is down 0.36%, and there have been a couple of Emaar derivative trades, up 2.55%. Dubai Financial Market (DFM) was the only other stock trading more than AED 100m, rising 2.2% to 2.33 from AED 178m. Al Madina Finance (ALMADINA) was the best gainer on trading of more than AED 1m, closing 3.7% higher at 1.11. Drake & Scull (DSI) was up 3.0%, Shuaa Capital (SHUAA) rose 2.15%, and the remaining gainers were up less than 2% except for Global Investment House (GLOBAL) which rose 5.8% from just two trades. Al Firdous Holdings (ALFIRDOUS) was the worst loser, closing 5% limit down from just one trade, Arab International Logistics (ARMX) fell 1.7%, Deyaar Development (DEYAAR) 1.3%, Ektitab Holding (EKTTITAB) 1.25%, National General Cooling (TABREED) 1.05%, and the remaining losers were down less than 1% or on thin trading. Abu Dhabi Securities ExchangeAldar Properties (ALDAR) was the most actively traded stock in Abu Dhabi, rising 3.8% to 5.76 from just under AED 100m worth of deals. Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADAVIATION) was the top gainer, closing 10% limit up at 2.80 but from just a single small trade. Waha Capital (OILC) rose 4.4% to 0.93, the best of the more active gainers, Abu Dhabi National Takaful (TKFL) rose 3.2% from just one trade, Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) was up 2.9%, Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 2.2%, and the remaining gainers were up less than 2%. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) was up 0.43% to 11.60. Ras Al Khaimah Poultry (RAPCO) was the worst of the losers, closing 10% limit down at 2.03 but from low volumes. National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) was the only stock of the 10 losers to see trading of more than AED 1m, closing 0.38% down at 13.20. | |
