The DFM continued this weeks roller coaster ride, falling 5.0% to 2075 points from turnover of AED 746m, tempting ShareWadi to just send out Sunday's report again. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1515 UAE time, DP World is down 2.2%, Depa is down 7.9%, and there was a DFM derivative traded, down 6.0%. Dubai Financial Market (DFM) was the only other stock trading more than AED 100m, falling 9.4% to 2.11, making it the worst loser of the day, from AED 140m of trading. Dar Takaful Insurance (DARTAKAFUL) fell 8.9%, Emarat Takaful Insurance (TAKAFUL-EM) fell 8.0%, National General Cooling (TABREED) 7.1%, and most other stocks fell between 3% and 7%, including 5% limit down falls for Gulf General Investment (GGICO), Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU), and Emirates NBD (ENBD). There were 4 gainers including 15% limit up for Kuwait Finance and Investment (KFIC) and 5% limit up for Gulfa Mineral Water (GULFA) but from just a single small trade each. Ajman Islamic Bank (AJMANBANK) was the only gainer on active trading, up 2.9% to 1.05. Abu Dhabi Securities ExchangeAldar Properties (ALDAR) was the most active stock in Abu Dhabi, falling 4.9% to 5.20 from turnover of AED 87m, and the worst of the usually active companies. Abu Dhabi National Takaful (TKFL) was the worst loser, 10% limit down but from just one small trade. Bank of Sharjah (BOS) fell 5.0%, Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 4.4%, Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) 4.1%, and the remaining losers by less than 4% or on limited volumes. There were 6 gainers including First Gulf Bank (FGB), Methaq Islamic Insurance (METHAQ), and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) up less than 1%. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) stood out with a 6.0% rise to 2.08. National Marine Dredging (NMDC) was the best gainer, up 9.0% but from just two small trades. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) fell 0.43% and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) was down 3.0%. | |
