UAE market news & discussions for 10 September 2007

Both UAE indicies fell today by less than one percent on dismal volume.

In other market news;

Following the International Investment Group listing on DFM yesterday, another Kuwait company, Gulf Petroleum Investment, listed today ending up 8.69% with a handful of trades going through. A third Kuwait company, Al Madina Finance, will list on DFM tomorrow.

Amlak look like they'll go ahead with a 5% share buy back. There was news of a 4.5 billion riyal lawsuit against Emaar in, or from, Saudi, another knock for Emaar shareholders. Etisalat were reported to be doubling their stake in Pakistan Telecom.

Dubai Financial Market

The Dubai Financial Market index finished at 4,173 down 0.39% from the previous close. 248 million shares traded worth 636 million dirhams. Five shares advanced and eighteen declined.
DEYAAR continued to top the trading falling 0.55% to 1.80 dirhams on turnover of 127 million shares.

Other shares to fall included: AIRARABIA 1.19 (0.83%), DFM 3.03 (0.65%) and Emaar Properties PJSC (EMAAR) 10.50 (0.47%).

Shares to rise included: Amlak Finance Company (AMLAK) 3.17 (2.25%), New stock GPI 6.00 (8.69%) and Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) 8.65 (2.12%).

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The ADSM index finished at 3,398 down 0.72% from the previous close. 48 million shares traded worth 162 million dirhams. Twelve shares advanced and twenty two declined.
Oasis International Leasing Company PJSC (OILC) topped trading finishing down 1.16% at 1.71 dirhams on turnover of 10 million shares.

Other shares to fall included: Aldar Properties PJSC (ALDAR) 6.71 (1.76%), Dana Gas PJSC (DANA) 1.59 (0.63%) and Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 4.36 (1.36%)

Shares to rise included: Commercial Bank International (CBI) 2.29 (0.44%), FCI 4.45 (5.95%) and Ras Al Khaimah White Cement Company (RAKWCT) 2.16 (0.47%).
