UAE markets 04 Sep 2007

UAE market news & discussions for 04 September 2007 A split decision on UAE markets today with DFM up and ADSM down slightly. Volume was low on both markets with a subdued days trading. The DFM index finished 0.53% up with DFM shares topping turnover again rising 0.32% to 3.12 dirhams on 77 million shares traded. The ADSM index finished 0.08% down with DANA topping turnover rising 1.23% to 1.65 dirhams on 31 million shares traded.

Dubai Financial Market

The DFM index finished higher today at 4, 271 a rise of 0.53%. 203 million shares traded worth 659 million dirhams. Fourteen shares advanced and six declined.
DFM topped trading rising 0.32% to 3.12 dirhams on turnover of 77 million shares.

Other shares to rise included: ARAMEX 2.64 (1.93%), Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) 9.76 (0.61%) and Union Properties PJSC (UPP) 3.17 (0.31%)

Shares to decline included: GULFNAV 1.27 (0.78%) and AIRARABIA 1.21 (1.62%)

Emaar Properties PJSC (EMAAR) 10.90 and Amlak Finance Company (AMLAK) 3.17 finished steady on reasonable turnover.

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The ADSM index finished lower today at 3,462 a fall of 0.08%. 83 million shares traded worth 276 million dirhams. Fifteen shares advanced and sixteen declined.
Dana Gas PJSC (DANA) topped trading rising 1.23% to 1.65 dirhams on turnover of 31 million shares.

Other shares to rise included: Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 4.48 (0.67%) and Ras Al Khaimah White Cement Company (RAKWCT) 2.13 (1.43%).

Shares to decline included: Aldar Properties PJSC (ALDAR) 6.94 (1.56%), ARKAN 1.73 (0.57%)

Oasis International Leasing Company PJSC (OILC) finished steady on 1.71.
