The DFM and ADSM continue to trade in a tight range. Volume and sentiment seem to be picking up on the DFM but any talk of a major trend developing is still premature. ARAMEX, Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) and National General Cooling Company PJSC (TABREED) all seem to be on a positive trajectory after recent declines. See the Forum for further discussion.
The ADSM is in need of life support. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) at current price levels and traded volume is one stock to watch.
Dubai Financial Market
Despite a promising start today the DFM index ended largely unchanged just .04% up at 4216.
During the day it reached 4250 but in the last hour of trading gave up nearly all the gains. The direction is still positive, as is volume with 207 million shares changing hands.
The top traded share was GULFNAV with 71.9 million shares changing hands.
Top gainers included ARAMEX (1.47%), Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL)(2.07%) and National General Cooling Company PJSC (TABREED)(1.28%). ACICO rose 14.9% on one trade of 200 shares.
Top losers included GULFNAV(2.27%) giving up some of its gains from the last few days and National Bank of Dubai (NBD)(1.38%)
Abu Dhabi Securities Market
The ADSM was up today finishing at 2958 a gain of .53% from the previous close. 41 million shares changed hands with 23 advancing and 12 declining.
The top traded share was ARKAN with 10.3 million shares changing hands.
Top gainers included Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB)(1.17%), Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH)(1.35%) and Aabar Petroleum Investments Company PJSC (AABAR)(1.16%)
Top losers included ARKAN(1.65%) and ADNH(2.15%)
A positive day however volume traded is still low and the index is still not above the 3000 level.
