Dubai Financial Market
DFM becomes more and more lacklustre as the days go by. Volume today of just below 300m dhs is very thin with no particularly noteworthy volumes or movements in individual shares. The DFMGI was up a fraction by 0.16% to 4153 points - due to a late rise after steadily falling most of the day.
Gainers and losers were about evenly split, with none of the actively traded stocks moving more than 1% either way, except for Gulf Navigation which fell 2.4% to 1.24, with volumes down by 75% from yesterday. Emaar Properties PJSC (EMAAR) volume back to the top of the list but still only a weak 132m dhs worth and a 0.4% rise. National Bank of Dubai (NBD) was about the most interesting stock today with relatively high volumes traded but that's become almost normal in recent weeks.
Abu Dhabi Securities Market
ADSM had moderate volumes of 120m dhs which, at more than a third of DFM volumes is relatively higher. The index itself fell by 0.36% to close at 2948 points.
Biggest rises of any note were Ras Al Khaimah Cement Company (RAKCC) up 3.5%, and Aldar Properties PJSC (ALDAR), up 2.3% on a sizeable 20m dhs worth of trading. While the biggest fall worth writing about was from Aabar Petroleum Investments Company PJSC (AABAR), down 2.3% - reversing yesterday's gain. Possibly related to news of the board of directors change.
ARKAN and First Gulf Bank (FGB) both traded heavily but with no change in price. Invest Bank (INVESTB) which rarely trades had a relatively big day falling 9.4% from 1.5m dhs worth of shares.
Most other actively traded stocks moved about 1% or less.
