The UAE markets again closed in opposite directions with Dubai Financial Market (DFM) slightly up and ADX closing down.
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) index closed 0.25% higher at 1,492 with 330 million shares traded worth Dh379 million.
Arabtec (ARTC) lead the trading once again rising 12.0% to 1.48. Dubai Financial Market (DFM) was also up 2.85% to 1.08. Islamic Arab Insurance (IAIC) also had a good run up 3.5% to 0.58. Air Arabia (AIRARABIA) lost ground down 2.0% to 0.93, as did Dubai Investment Company (DIC) down 0.98%. National General Cooling (TABREED) closed 2.04% down at 0.48.
The ADX index closed 0.35% down at 2,201 with 107 million shares traded worth Dh183 million.
Banking was stronger today with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) up 1.91%, First Gulf Bank (FGB) up 1.11% and Finance House (FH) up 9.91%.
In Realestate Aldar Properties (ALDAR) closed up 0.90% but Sorouh was down 0.45%.
In Energy with no trading in Aabar Energy (AABAR), Dana Gas (DANA) closed up 1.75% and Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) up 1.79%.
In Construction trading was lead by Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) up 1.57% but Arkan Building Materials (ARKAN) was down 4.94%.
Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) finished 0.10% higher at 10.00.
