UAE market news & discussions for 11 May 2008Both UAE market indicies closed lower today. The DFM index closed down over 1.5 percent and the ADX index was lower by just over half of one percent. The value of shares traded was a litttle over one billion dirhams for the DFM and just over half a billion dirhams for the ADX. |

Dubai Financial Market
the DFM index closed at 5,741 a fall of 1.52% from the previous close. 271 million shares were traded worth 1.1 billion dirhams. Three shares advanced and twenty one declined.
GULFNAV continues to be the top traded share falling 1.63% to 1.80 dirhams on turnover of 74 million shares.
Other shares to fall included: AIRARABIA 2.04 (0.48%), Emaar Properties (EMAAR) 11.60 (2.10%), DEYAAR 2.30 (0.86%), DFM 5.94 (2.30%) and Tamweel (TAMWEEL) 7.76 (3.00%).
GGICO 7.86, up 1.15% was the only stock to rise on significant volume.
Abu Dhabi Securities Market
the ADX index closed at 5006 a fall of 0.57% from the previous close. 125 million shares were traded worth 595 million dirhams. Twelve shares advanced and twenty four declined.
ARKAN was the top traded share falling 0.19% to 5.22 dirhams on turnover of 19 million shares.
Other shares to fall included:Aabar Petroleum (AABAR) 3.45 (2.27%), Dana Gas (DANA) 2.05 (0.97%), RAK Properties (RAKPROP) 2.19 (1.35%) and NBS 2.77 (1.42%).
Shares to rise included: ADAVIATION 5.98 (5.84%), Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) 5.80 (0.17%) and Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 9.55 (0.21%).
