UAE market news & discussions for 04 May 2008 A good days trading on UAE markets today. Both indicies rose by nearly half of one percent on reasonable volume of shares traded. For the DFM, AMLAK topped trading rising 2.42% to 5.07 dirhams on volume of 66 million shares. On the ADSM, AABAR easily topped trading rising 5.67% to 3.54 dirhams on volume of 100 million shares. Dubai Financial Market

The DFM index closed at 5,842 a rise of 0.47% from the previous close. 368 million shares were traded worth 1.7 billion dirhams. Fourteen shares advanced and eight declined.
The top traded share was Amlak Finance (AMLAK) rising 2.42% to 5.07 dirhams on turnover of 66 million shares.

Other shares to rise included: DFM 6.20 (1.30%), Emaar Properties (EMAAR) 11.75 (0.85%), Union Properties (UPP) 4.91 (1.65%) and Gulfnav closed unchanged on 1.67.

Shares to fall included: AIRARABIA 2.05 (0.96%), DEYAAR 2.30 (0.86%), Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) 9.36 (0.95%) and Tamweel (TAMWEEL) 8.14 (0.61%).

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The ADSM index closed at 5,045 a rise of 0.41% from the previous close. 328 million shares were traded worth 1.2 billion dirhams. Thirty shares advanced and eleven declined.
The top traded share was Aabar Petroleum (AABAR) rising 5.67% to 5.54 dirhams on turnover of 100 million shares.

Other shares to rise included: Aldar Properties (ALDAR) 11.95 (0.42%), ARKAN 4.87 (1.25%), Dana Gas (DANA) 2.11 (2.93%) and Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) 3.55 (3.20%).

Shares to fall included: Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 9.57 (0.31%), NBS 2.92 (1.68%), Etisalat (ETISALAT) 21.70 (0.69%) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) 6.40 (0.16%).
