Despite the turmoil in world markets sparked off by the Shanghai hangover the DFM and ADSM have recorded slight falls of less than one per cent to finish the trading week. As the markets here have not enjoyed a happy 2006 it stands to reason they should be fairly robust as other markets in the world adjust.

Dubai Financial Market

The fall continues with the DFM index ending at 4,140 down .78%. 117 million shares changed hands with a total value traded of 617 million dirhams. Two stocks advanced, thirteen declined and four were unchanged.

The two stocks advancing included Emirates Bank International Group (EBI) 13.40 (1.9%) and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) 8.63(1.17%).
The top decliners included GULFNAV 1.19(3.25%), Aramex PJSC (ARMX) 2.13(3.18%), Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) 3.81(2.8%), Amlak Finance Company (AMLAK) 3.86(2.03%), Emaar Properties PJSC (EMAAR) 12.60(1.94%).
