Dubai Financial Market

Another quietish day for the Dubai Financial Market ahead of Emaar's AGM tonight which will be followed with interest, especially the question of whether or not they'll be paying out a dividend. The DFM index (DFMGI) dropped 1.2% to 4089 points on volumes of 446m dhs worth of trading.

ACICO was the only company to show a gain today up 3.6% on a single small trade.

Emaar Properties PJSC (EMAAR) fell 0.8% to 12.70 on low volume of 162m dhs worth of trading in advance of Emaar's AGM today at 5 pm. DFM shares had the most notable fall of almost 4% to 2.19 on 156m dhs worth of trading. Other significant falls of 2.3% for National Bank of Dubai (NBD), about 2% for Shuaa Capital PJSC (SHUAA) and Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL), 1.5% for National General Cooling Company PJSC (TABREED) and the remaining actively traded stocks fell by 1% or less.

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

ADSM up just 0.3% to 3048, total volume down from some of the big days last week with 189m dhs worth of trading. About half of that from trading in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) shares with a jump of 5.9% to 55.00 dhs. Gulf Cement Company (GCEM) rose 4.6% on decent volume (for them) of 9.6m dhs of trading, and Dana Gas PJSC (DANA) up 1.4% were the other rises of note. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Emirates Telecommunications Company (ETISALAT), Ras Al Khaimah Properties PJSC (RAKPROP), Aabar Petroleum Investments Company PJSC (AABAR), Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) all rose about 1% or less.

Limit down for OEIHC on trivial volume but there have been several limit down, or almost limit down, days in the past month or so since they listed.

Aldar Properties PJSC (ALDAR) and Oasis International Leasing Company PJSC (OILC) had the most significant drops of about 2% each while First Gulf Bank (FGB), Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), AGTHIA, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) all fell about 1%.
