Dubai Financial Market
DFM crashed down 1.3% through 4000 points to close at 3960 on moderately active trading volumes of 814m dhs. Half of that volume was in Emaar Properties PJSC (EMAAR) shares, taking another 3.3% hit to close at 11.80.
AMAN and Shuaa Capital PJSC (SHUAA) were the stars of the day. Aman went limit up to 17.70 dhs and stayed there with 13m dhs worth of trades going through.
Shuaa closed 11% up at 4.60. Possibly something to do with Shuaa's share buyback? Volume of 32m dhs worth much higher than usual, over half the volume was traded in just 10 minutes at or close to the limit up price of 4.77 dhs per share. National Bank of Dubai (NBD) was the only other share to increase on tangible volumes - up 3.4% to 10.70.
Biggest loser today was DFM itself, their share price down 6.7% to close for the first time below 2 dhs per share. All other active stocks fell with the worst of them being Amlak Finance Company (AMLAK) down 4%, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) down 3.7%, and Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) down 3.3%.
Abu Dhabi Securities Market
ADSM went down in tandem with DFM to close just below the important 3000 points level - a fall of 0.8% to 2998.5. 23 stocks fell, just 6 went up, and 4 unchanged. Total traded volume was a relatively light 94m dhs.
TKFL continued to storm ahead, up another 7.7% to 3.62 with a busy 9m dhs worth of trades. There were no other positive movements on volumes of any note.
Aldar was down another 5.6% to 3.86, its share price continuing to fall after
going ex-dividend a few days ago. Other big falls on noteworthy volumes for Sorouh
Real Estate (SOROUH) down 3.2%, Aabar
Petroleum Investments Company PJSC (AABAR) down 4%, TAQA down 3.1%, and Abu
Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) down 2.4%. Otherwise a relatively quiet trading
day at ADSM.
