UAE market news & discussions for 09 March 2008The markets today, unsurprisingly, fell again. With falling markets around the world and the Saudi market trickling down yesterday and today, it seems unlikely that the local markets can fight the general negative sentiment. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, however, had a good day with unusually high turnover and a small gain. A Dubai Investments subsidiary, Emirates Glass, said profits for 2007 were up by 106% but didn't actually say how much they were. Dubai Islamic Bank holds their Annual General Meeting this afternoon - dividends of 15% bonus shares and 40% cash have been proposed.
