UAE markets 23 Aug 2010

UAE market news & discussions for 23 August 2010 UAE stocks rose slightly today but on thin trading. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World was unchanged, and Depa fell 2.3%. UAE financial news - latest news from Reuters, Bloomberg and UAE media Dubai Financial Market Dubai stocks rose 0.57% to 1500 points from turnover of AED 61m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, up 1.2% to 3.29 from AED 23m worth of trading. Dubai Financial Market (DFM), Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), and Drake & Scull (DSI) all rose less than 1%, Gulf Navigation (GULFNAV) fell 1.7%, and Arabtec (ARTC), Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU), and Air Arabia (AIRARABIA) all closed unchanged. The other stocks traded less than AED 1m worth. Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Abu Dhabi stocks rose 0.15% to 2509 points from trading worth AED 44m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the only stock trading more than AED 10m, up 1.4% to 2.23 from AED 20m. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) rose more than 2%, Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) was up 0.62%, Dana Gas (DANA) and Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) were unchanged, and Union National Bank (UNB) fell 2.3%. The remaining stocks traded on less than AED 1m.
