UAE market news & discussions for 13 April 2009ADX was up 0.43% to 2609 points from increased turnover of AED 293m while the DFM edged down by less than 2 points, or 0.10%, to 1655 with turnover down at AED 589m - a third of that in Arabtec shares which rose. On the Nasdaq Dubai as of 15:00 UAE time, DP World and Boulder Steel are unchanged, Depa is up 10%, and GOLD is up 0.45%. Dubai Financial Market Arabtec (ARTC) dominated trading in Dubai with over AED 200m of turnover on a rise of 2.9% to 2.10, and the only stock with more than AED 100m worth of trading. Deyaar Development (DEYAAR) was the top gainer of the actively traded stocks, rising 4.9% to 0.64, although Al Salam Bank Sudan (ALSALAMSUDAN) was slightly better at 5.6% but on light volumes. Shuaa Capital (SHUAA) rose 3.8%, Dubai Investment Company (DIC) 1.6%, Drake & Scull (DSI) 1.4%, other gainers were up less than 1% or on thin trading, and 5 stocks closed unchanged. Dubai Financial Market (DFM) shares were the worst of the more active losers, falling 4.1% to 1.39, Dubai Islamic Insurance (AMAN) was down 1.9%, Emaar Properties (EMAAR) 1.6%, National Central Cooling (TABREED) 1.35%, and the remainder less than 1% or on low volumes. Abu Dhabi Securities ExchangeNo stocks in Abu Dhabi saw more than AED 100m worth of trading. Aldar Properties (ALDAR) was top of the turnover list with AED 61m and a 1.35% fall to 3.66. Dana Gas (DANA) had a good day closing 10% limit up at 0.95 from turnover of AED 53m which could have been higher but for the lack of sellers in the queue. Union National Bank (UNB) was another 10% limit up stock with no sellers. National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCTH) and National Marine Dredging (NMDC) joined the 10% limit up list but with only 2 small trades in each. Other gainers rose less than 4% or on thin trading, including First Gulf Bank (FGB) up 4.0%, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) up 2.0%. Waha Capital (OILC) was the worst of the actively traded losers with a 3.6% fall to 0.81, Agthia Group (AGTHIA) fell 1.7% and the other losers fell less than 2% or on thin trading.
