Both DFM and ADSM made a strong start to to the trading week today. Gains were broadly based with all sectors recording gains.
Notable market news included the Deyaar IPO opening today and foreign trading in GGICO shares.

Dubai Financial Market

The DFM made strong gains today opening up and increasing through out the trading day. The index finished at 3975 a gain of 3.57%. The total volume of shares changing hands was 511 million worth 1.8 billion dirhams. Approximately half of the trading volume was made up of trading in DFM shares.

top gainers on reasonable volume included: Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) 8.67 (14.6%), DFM 2.98 (12.4%), Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) 3.84 (6.9%), Shuaa Capital PJSC (SHUAA) 5.23 (3.98%) and Aramex PJSC (ARMX) 1.98 (3.66%).

No stocks declined on significant volume.

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The ADSM had a strong trading day with the index finishing at 3141 a gain of 2.38% from the previous close. 227 million shares changed hands worth a total of 769 million dirhams.

Top gainers on reasonable volume included: Oasis International Leasing Company PJSC (OILC) 11.55 (8.45%), Aldar Properties PJSC (ALDAR) 5.86 (8.32%), Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 3.16 (7.48%), Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) 2.04 (5.15%), Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) 6.24 (3.65%), Aabar Petroleum Investments Company PJSC (AABAR) 2.39 (5.2%)

Top decliners on reasonable volume included: Ras Al Khaimah White Cement Company (RAKWCT) 1.82 (4.71%) and Gulf Cement Company (GCEM) 5.95 (2.98%).
