Al Madina Finance (ALMADINA) was the standout stock, closing 15% limit up from greater than usual trading. Gulf Finance House (GFH) rose 4.4%, Ektitab Holding (EKTTITAB) rose 4.35%, National General Cooling (TABREED) was up 2.35%, Islamic Arab Insurance (IAIC) 1.05%, and another 5 gainers rose on volumes of less than AED 1m each. Drake & Scull (DSI), Union Properties (UPP), Dubai Investment Company (DIC), Air Arabia (AIRARABIA), and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) all closed unchanged. Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was the worst of the more active losers, down 2.35% to 1.66, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell 2.05%, and the remaining losers fell less than 2% or on low volumes. Abu Dhabi Securities ExchangeAldar Properties (ALDAR) was the most active stock in Abu Dhabi but still traded only AED 47m worth as it rose 1.3% to 5.37. Union Cement (UCC) and Gulf Cement (GCEM) were the top gainers, closing 10% limit up but from low volumes. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) was the best of the more actively traded stocks, rising 3.3% to 2.90. Arkan Building Materials (ARKAN) rose 2.5%, and the other gainers were up less than 2% or on low volumes. Sharjah Cement (SCIDC) was the worst loser, down 7.3% to 1.27 but from just one trade. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) was the worst of the stocks trading more than AED 1m worth, falling 2.2% to 1.75, Dana Gas (DANA) was down 2%, and another 4 losers fell on low volumes, including National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) down 2.6%. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT), Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP), and Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) were among the six stocks that were unchanged for the day. | |
