UAE market news & discussions for 04 November 2007

Another strong day on UAE markets today. Both indicies rose by around 1% with turnover of one billion shares on both markets.

On the DFM, DEYAAR topped trading rising 2.69% to 2.29 dirhams on turnover of 307 million shares. DFM rose 10.35% to 5.65 dirhams on turnover of 186 million shares.

On the ADSM, ARKAN, DANA, RAKPROP and TAQA were all up more than 5% on large turnover.

In other news, DP World IPO opens today. Indicative share price has been set at $1 to $1.30, valuing the company at $21.58 billion dollars.

Dubai Financial Market

The DFM index closed at 5,404 a rise of 1.08% from the previous close. One billion shares traded worth 4.2 billion dirhams. Fourteen shares advanced and nine declined.
The top traded share was DEYAAR closing 2.69% higher at 2.29 dirhams on volume of 307 million shares traded.

Other shares to rise on strong volumes included: DFM 5.65 (10.35%), Dubai Investments (DIC) 5.55 (1.27%) and GULFNAV 1.52 (4.10%).

Shares to fall included AIRARABIA 1.68 (0.59%), Amlak Finance (AMLAK) 4.66 (0.85%), ARAMEX 3.16 (1.25%) and Du Telecom (DU) 5.05 (0.19%).

Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The ADSM index closed at 4,382 a rise of 0.94% from the previous close. One bilion shares traded worth 3.2 billion dirhams. Thirty two shares advanced and thirteen declined.
The top traded share was RAK Properties (RAKPROP) rising 6.83% to 2.19 dirhams on volume of 289 million shares traded.

Other shares to rise included: Aabar Petroleum (AABAR) 4.49 (3.70%), ARKAN 2.57 (9.36%), Dana Gas (DANA) 2.18 (8.46%), RAK Cement (RAKCC) 2.30 (4.55%) and Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) 3.84 (6.37%).

Shares to fall included: Oasis Leasing (OILC) 2.86 (1.04%), Etisalat (ETISALAT) 21.95 (1.35%) and Sudan Telecom (SUDATEL) 8.11 (0.12%).
