UAE markets 21 Dec 2010

UAE market news & discussions for 21 December 2010 UAE stocks fell on modest trading, although First Gulf Bank in Abu Dhabi stood out with relatively greater than usual activity. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World fell 0.50%, DGS fell 0.82%, and Depa was unchanged. The daily report will be temporarily suspended from tomorrow until the start of 2011 while Share Wadi has a break for the holiday season. UAE financial news - latest news from Reuters, Bloomberg and UAE media Dubai Financial Market Dubai stocks fell 0.39% to 1626 points from trading worth AED 92m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, down 1.1% to 3.49 from AED 33m. Arabtec (ARTC) was the worst of the more active losers, down 1.5% to 1.97, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) fell 1.1%, and the other losers were down less than 1% or on thin trading. Al Madina Finance (ALMADINA) was the top gainer, up 3.2% to 0.62, and the only gainer rising more than 1% on trading worth more than AED 1m. Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Abu Dhabi stocks fell 0.66% to 2698 points from trading worth AED 82m with First Gulf Bank (FGB) the most active stock, down 2.9% to 18.35 from AED 41m, and also the worst loser except for a small trade in Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB). Methaq Islamic Insurance (METHAQ) fell 1.55%, Dana Gas (DANA) 1.4%, and the other losers were down less than 1% or on thin trading. There were four gainers with only two trading more than AED 1m worth - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Union National Bank (UNB), both up about 0.3%. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) fell 0.46%, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 1.3%.

UAE market news & discussions for 19 December 2010 UAE stocks mostly rose today. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World rose 0.85% to 0.595. UAE financial news - latest news from Reuters, Bloomberg and UAE media Dubai Financial Market Dubai stocks rose 0.13% to 1641 points from trading worth AED 138m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) and Arabtec (ARTC) the most actively traded stocks, with AED 50m each. Emaar rose 0.56% to 3.57, and Arabtec rose 2.56% to 2.00. Gulf Navigation (GULFNAV) was the best of the more active gainers, 2.8% up to 0.435. The other gainers rose less than 2% or on thin trading. Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was the worst of the more active losers, down 1.4% to 2.08, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) fell 1.1%, and the other losers fell less than 1% or on thin trading. Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Abu Dhabi stocks rose 0.25% to 2722 points from trading worth AED 108m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most actively traded stock, up 3.1% to 2.33 from AED 48m, and was also the best of the more active gainers. Green Crescent Insurance (GCIC) rose 2.6%, Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) was up 2.2%, and the other gainers were up less than 2% or on thin trading. There were only three losers, and only one saw trading worth more than AED 1m - First Gulf Bank (FGB) down 0.80% to 18.70. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) was unchanged, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 0.42%.

UAE market news & discussions for 16 December 2010 UAE stock indices closed almost unchanged in Abu Dhabi, and up in Dubai. On the Nasdaq Dubai, Depa fell 2.8%, DP World rose 1.2%, and Damas fell 10.0%. UAE financial news - latest news from Reuters, Bloomberg and UAE media Dubai Financial Market Dubai stocks rose 0.56% to 1639 points from trading worth AED 156m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most actively traded stock, up 0.85% to 3.55 from AED 91m. Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was the best of the more active gainers, up 3.4% to 2.11, National General Cooling (TABREED) rose 2.9%, Arabtec (ARTC) was up 1.6%, and the other gainers rose less than 1.5% or on low value trading. Gulf Navigation (GULFNAV) was the worst loser, down 3.0% to 0.42, Union Properties (UPP) fell 1.85%, and the other losers fell less than 1.5% or on thin trading. Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Abu Dhabi stocks fell less than one point, by 0.02% to 2716 points from trading worth AED 107m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, unchanged at 2.28 from AED 35m.
