UAE market news & discussions for 30 November 2010

UAE stocks mostly fell, on low volumes with no significant price movements except for a couple of Kuwait secondary listings. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World was unchanged, and Depa fell 1.4%.

    Dubai stocks fell 0.36% to 1669 points from trading worth AED 115m with Arabtec (ARTC) the most actively traded stock, down 0.55% to 1.82 from AED 24m worth of trading. HITS Telecom was the worst loser, down 5.4% to 1.06, Union Properties (UPP) fell 3.05%, and the other losers were down less than 2%, including Emaar Properties (EMAAR) which fell 0.82%. Ektitab Holding (EKTTITAB) was the top gainer, up 10% to 0.45, Islamic Arab Insurance (IAIC) rose 2.7% on low volumes, and the other 3 gainers were up between 1% and 2%, also on low trading levels.

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell just 0.05% to 2730 points from trading worth AED 101m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most actively traded stock, up 1.4% to 2.19 from AED 32m worth of deals. Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) was the worst of the more active stocks, down 2.2% to 0.88, Arkan Building Materials (ARKAN) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) fell 2.1%, and the other losers fell less than 2% or on thin trading. Except for a small 10% limit up trade for Oman and Emirates Investment Holding (OEIHC), Union National Bank (UNB) was the top gainer, up 3.0% to 3.11, and the other gainers were up less than 1.5%. National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 0.41%, and Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) was unchanged.

    UAE market news & discussions for 29 November 2010

    UAE stocks fell in Abu Dhabi with some of the banks falling on relatively active trading, but rose in Dubai. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World rose 0.84%, DGS rose 0.45%, and Damas was unchanged.

    Dubai stocks rose 0.92% to 1675 points from trading worth AED 108m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, up 1.4% to 3.65 from AED 33m. Dubai Financial Market (DFM) was the top gainer, up 3.3% to 1.55, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) rose 2.3%, and the other gainers were up less than 2%. HITS Telecom was the worst of the more active losers, down 1.75%, Al Salam Bank Sudan (ALSALAMSUDAN) was 10% limit down from one small trade, and the other losers fell less than 1% or on thin trading.

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell 0.67% to 2731 points from trading worth AED 115m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, unchanged at 2.18 from AED 26m worth. Union National Bank (UNB) was the worst loser, down 4.4% to 3.18, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) fell 3.1%, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) 2.7%, Arkan Building Materials (ARKAN) 2.6%, and the other losers were down less than 2%. Methaq Islamic Insurance (METHAQ) was the top gainer, up 3.45% to 2.70, Green Crescent Insurance (GCIC) rose 2.5%, Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) 2.3%, and the other gainers were up less than 2% or on thin trading.

    UAE market news & discussions for 28 November 2010

    UAE stocks mostly fell but trading levels were light. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World fell 1.0%, Damas rose 5.6%, and Depa was unchanged.

    Dubai stocks fell 1.35% to 1660 points from trading worth AED 106m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, down 1.4% to 3.60 from AED 30m. Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was the worst loser, down 4.3% to 1.99, Al Madina Finance (ALMADINA) and Arabtec (ARTC) fell 2.2%, and the other losers were down less than 2% or on thin trading. There were only two gainers - Ajman Islamic Bank (AJMANBANK) and Drake & Scull (DSI) - both up less than 0.5%.

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell 0.26% to 2750 points from trading worth AED 95m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, down 2.7% to 2.16 from AED 23m. Methaq Islamic Insurance (METHAQ) was the worst loser, down 5.4% to 2.58, Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) fell 5.4% also, Green Crescent Insurance (GCIC) was down 4.7%, Arkan Building Materials (ARKAN) 4.5%, Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) 2.2%, and the other losers were down less than 2% or on thin trading. There were 7 gainers with only three trading more than AED 1m - Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA), Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT), and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) - all up less than 1%.
