UAE market news & discussions for 30 September 2010

Most UAE stocks fell today. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World was up 1.6% to US$0.52, and Depa was unchanged at US$0.64.

    Dubai stocks fell 1.1% to 1684 points from trading worth AED 330m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the only stock trading more than AED 100m, down 1.8% to 3.73 from AED 187m. Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was the worst loser, down 4.35% to 2.20, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell 2.2%, and the other losers were down less than 2% or on thin trading. There were 5 gainers with only Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) trading more than AED 1m worth, up 0.39% to 2.58.

    Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange

    Abu Dhabi stocks fell 0.15% to 2673 points from trading worth AED 108m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, down 2.0% to 2.50 from AED 31m worth. Agthia Group (AGTHIA) was the worst of the more active losers, down 3.4% to 2.26, Dana Gas (DANA) fell 1.2%, Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 1.1%, and the other losers fell less then 1% or on thin trading. Only 2 gainers rose on trading of more than AED 1m - Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Abu Dhabi National Insurance (ADNIC), both up less than 0.5%. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) fell 0.46%, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 0.42%.

    UAE market news & discussions for 29 September 2010

    UAE stocks rose on moderate trading with Arabtec and Aramex doing well in Dubai. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World fell 1.7%, Depa was down 3.0%, and DGS rose 1.6%.

    Dubai stocks rose 0.72% to 1702 points from trading worth AED 220m with Arabtec (ARTC) the most active stock, up 2.0% to 2.03 from AED 66m. Except for a handful of small trades for Dar Takaful Insurance (DARTAKAFUL), Arab International Logistics (ARMX) was the best gainer, up 4.5% to 2.30. Shuaa Capital (SHUAA) and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) rose 2.8%, and the other gainers were up less than 2%. Only 3 losers fell on turnover worth more than AED 1m - Ajman Islamic Bank (AJMANBANK) down 1.1%, Gulf Finance House (GFH) down 0.63%, and Dubai Investment Company (DIC) down 0.21%.

    Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange

    Abu Dhabi stocks rose 0.61% to 2677 points from trading worth AED 101m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most actively traded stock, up 1.2% to 2.51 from AED 24m. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) was the best of the more active gainers, up 3.2% to 2.31, Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) rose 2.6%, Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) was up 2.4%, Agthia Group (AGTHIA) 2.2%, and the remaining gainers rose less than 2% or on thin trading. There were only 5 losers with 3 trading more than AED 1m worth - National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), and Union National Bank (UNB), all down by less than half a percent. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) rose 0.93% to 10.75.

    UAE market news & discussions for 28 September 2010

    UAE stocks fell but on lower trading volumes. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World is up 0.97%, and DGS is down 0.62%.

    Dubai stocks fell 0.53% to 1690 points from trading worth AED 146m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most actively traded stock, down 0.79% to 3.77 from AED 58m. Except for a couple of trades in Dar Takaful Insurance (DARTAKAFUL), Shuaa Capital (SHUAA) was the worst loser, down 2.7% to 1.07. National General Cooling (TABREED) fell 2.2%, and the other losers were down less than 2%. Dubai National Insurance & Reinsurance (DNIR) was the best of the more active gainers, up 2.4% to 2.15, Gulf Finance House (GFH) rose 1.3%, and HITS Telecom was the only other gainer trading more than AED 1m, up 0.16%.

Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) was the worst of the more active stocks, down 2.5% to 0.77, Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) fell 2.4%, Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 2.2%, and the remaining losers were down less than 2% or on thin trading. Except for a couple of small trades in Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), Agthia Group (AGTHIA) was the best gainer, up 2.2% to 2.28, and the other gainers were up less than 1.5%. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) rose 0.47%, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) fell 0.42%.
