UAE market news & discussions for 08 July 2010

UAE stocks were up slightly with Emaar leading the way in Dubai on a reasonable gain. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1545 UAE time, DP World is the only stock traded so far, up 3.6% to US$0.43.

    Dubai stocks rose 1.2% to 1500 points from trading worth AED 126m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, and also the top gainer, up 3.2% to 3.22 from AED 68m. Drake & Scull (DSI) was up 1.75%, and the other gainers were up less than 1.5% or on thin trading. There were 5 losers with none trading more than AED 1m worth. Emirates NBD (ENBD) was unchanged at 2.50.

    Abu Dhabi stocks rose 0.24% to 2528 points from trading worth AED 73m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, rising 0.37% to 2.70 from AED 28m worth of deals. Union National Bank (UNB) was the best of the more active gainers, up 2.1% to 2.96, Dana Gas (DANA) rose 1.4%, and Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) was the only other gainer trading more than AED 1m, up just 0.57%. There were 6 losers with only 2 trading more than AED 1m worth - Aabar Energy (AABAR) down 1.35%, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) down 0.90%. Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) was unchanged at 10.45.

    UAE market news & discussions for 07 July 2010

    UAE stocks were up marginally in Abu Dhabi with relatively busy trading for First Gulf Bank and Dana Gas, but down in Dubai. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1530 UAE time, DP World is down 4.6% to US$0.41.

    Dubai stocks fell 0.86% to 1482 points from trading worth AED 74m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, down 2.5% to 3.12 from AED 30m. Arabtec (ARTC) was the worst of the more active losers, down 2.8% to 1.71, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell 2.7%, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) 2.0%, and the other losers were down less than 2% or on thin trading. Only 2 gainers traded more than AED 1m worth - Arab International Logistics (ARMX) up 1.3%, and Air Arabia (AIRARABIA) up 0.12%. Emirates NBD (ENBD) rose 2.0% on low volumes.

    Abu Dhabi stocks rose just 0.07% to 2522 points from trading worth AED 121m with First Gulf Bank (FGB) the most active stock, down 0.35% to 14.50 from AED 38m worth. There were only 3 gainers trading more than AED 1m worth - Dana Gas (DANA) up 2.9% to 0.70, National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) convertible notes up 1.3%, and Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) up 0.48%. Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) was the worst of the more active losers, down 4.3% to 2.85, Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAKCC) fell 1.75%, and the other losers were down less than 2% or on thin trading. National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) rose 0.45% to 11.00 from low volumes.

    UAE market news & discussions for 06 July 2010

    Dubai stocks had a bit of a jump on increased trading compared to the past few days of stagnation, but Abu Dhabi remained flat. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 1430 UAE time, DP World is up 3.6% and Depa is up 2.8%.

    Dubai stocks rose 1.5% to 1495 points from turnover almost tripled from yesterday at AED 141m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the most active stock, up 3.9% to 3.20. Arabtec (ARTC) was the top gainer, up 4.7% to 1.76, National General Cooling (TABREED) rose 3.3%, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) 3.1%, and the other gainers were up less than 3% or on thin trading. There were 6 losers with only Gulf Finance House (GFH) trading more than AED 1m, down 0.44% to 0.45. Emirates NBD (ENBD) fell 2.0% to 2.45 from thin trading.

    Abu Dhabi stocks were almost unchanged at 2521 points with trading almost doubled from yesterday at AED 107m with Aldar Properties (ALDAR) the most active stock, up 0.74% to 2.74. Only 3 other gainers traded more than AED 1m worth - Aabar Energy (AABAR), Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH), and Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT) - all up less than 1%. There were only 3 losers trading more than AED 1m worth - First Gulf Bank (FGB) down 1.0%, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), both down a little under 1%.
